Why this summer’s most feminist superhero isn’t Wonder Woman

It wasn’t what I expected either.

DC’s 2017 “Wonder Woman” has been a long time coming. We’ve waited to see a true female hero onscreen that wasn’t just a made-up doll with some moves, but a (somewhat) realistic, complex woman starring in some serious action.
